The ArchiveTeam Warrior is a virtual archiving appliance. You can run it to help with the ArchiveTeam archiving efforts. It will download sites and upload them to our archive — and it’s really easy to do!
The warrior is a virtual machine, so there is no risk to your computer. The warrior will only use your bandwidth and some of your disk space.
The warrior runs on Windows, OS X and Linux. You’ll need VirtualBox (recommended), VMware or a similar program to run the virtual machine.
Instructions for VirtualBox:
Once you’ve started your warrior:
Donate to the Internet Archive for generously hosting our archives. They don't just store data on hard drives, they maintain a library for everyone to access for free.
(For lending servers or donating to ArchiveTeam members for ArchiveBot, rsync servers, etc., ask in appropriate IRC chat room.)
Be sure to read Frequently Asked Questions
The Warrior virtual machine appliances has been updated to version 3.2 which includes better support for current projects. However, you may still get a blank page trying to run certain projects. This is a known issue.
Alternatively, you may run the projects using the Docker warrior instance without the VM appliance. For further info, see our GitHub repository for Readme instructions. If you have any issues or feedback, chat on #warrior on hackint.
